Can anyone identify this pan and it's purpose?

I thought it was a crepe pan but I have looked at hundreds of images on the net and there is no crepe pan than has the hinged flat lid. It is concave on one side and griddle flat on the other and both surfaces are non-stick. Also it does not close flush it has almost an inch of space between top and bottom...I wish I could attach a picture ;-(
