Is vivipary (live birth) common among non-mammals?

I know that almost all mammals are viviprious, with the exception of the platypus, which is the only mammal that lays eggs. How about non-mammals? I've heard that the blue shark is a viviprious fish, but is the blue shark a freak-of-nature exception like the platypus?
