Should i get a macbook air 2010?

I'm currently a high school student, but i am getting ready to go to college soon. I currently have the discontinued sony vaio fw with 4 gb, 320 gb hard drive x7200, and a 2.53 ghz intel core 2 duo processor. I do love it but its really heavy at a 6.5 lbs! I'm looking for something that will support me through college but not intensely since i do not do any heavy gaming or video/photo editing. In terms of importance, price and portability are at the top while performance is second. Also, I would buy the super-drive if i got the MBA. Although money is a factor, i would not mind paying the extra money for the improved processor on the 13" and the 4 gb of ram. It's basically a showdown between the macbook pro 13, macbook air 13, and the sony vaio z.
