Should automobiles be banned from the road for being a danger to themselves and others?

No argument that these instances happen, but frankly is banning vehicles from the road the ultimate solution. Yes all of the cases that you stated would cease to exist do to the fact that there are no vehicles on the road, but what of the rest of the economy that would be hit. How would goods be transported from a manufacture to the retailer and obviously there are hundreds of other examples. The only thing that really can be done is policing of the bad and negligent drivers and hope that they grow up and that people will start to drive more responsibly.
