Best Texas Blues/Dirty/Gritty sounding pickups?

hello all, I have a 2009 american standard start, I run with a tubescremer, directly into my blues junior. Honestly that's an awsome tone. The blues jr is a great little amp, and I love the tube screamer (necessary for srv type tones or any blues overdrive, IMO. I have the original fender pickups in it and want to switch to something more dirty, more srv sounding, gritty, just that sound when you play a blues chord it just screams at you. Now I know people will say Fender Texas Specials, but seriously I have played them and I'm not a fan, truth b told, no fender pickups are that great. Anyone out there have some dirty sounding pickups? I've looked at lindy fralin, Buds (if uve heard of them!, and some seymour duncans, but no shop has them available to play (guitar center, etc...) so please, any help would be greatly appreciated. If you go to or google stevie snacks, he plays strickly texas blues (srv) type music, if you just listen to some of his stuff you'll know the sound I'm looking for. He is on youtube and has his own website, I would really like to hit that tone on the head. Please, any help is appreciated. Thanks. Bill
