Can I get into a pub in BC if I'm under 19 and don't have a fake id?

I've been invited to a birthday party at a pub, and I'm not of age yet. I look a lot older and have gained entry into clubs without being ID'd, but it's always nerve wracking. If I go to the pub and don't drink, would I be allowed to just eat with my friends?
