Is it illegal to shoot at small mammals in the woods with a BB gun?

Check with your Hunting Laws but being a hunter myself i think its illegal because your not killing the animal you may just be injuring them and YES that is illegal...The season has to be open for you to hunt and kill what ever you are looking for...If you need a small caliber gun try a .22cal.This will do the trick for small game.
